Julia Gillard's priority should be to dump the Government's failed Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) and work with the Greens to deliver immediate action on climate change.

It is clear that she has an obligation to work constructively with the Senate and needs to do much better than Kevin Rudd who has had a closed door to the Greens for over 12 months. I am very pleased that Krudd is gone, he was a dud. He did not follow through on his election promises. The ALP has thrown him out and, hopefully, the new PM will open her door to some serious Senate negotiations with the Greens - particularly on their platform for Carbon Pollution Tax ($23 per tonne on the worst 1000 polluters), even Turnbull sees this as a good way to tackle climate change.
