RE Dr Karl Kruszelnicki from GLW link -
"I see geosequestration as a useful short-term thing. In 10 years we will probably still be burning coal so the question is whether we catch the emissions or just release them. But you can't keep doing that forever."

Both so called 'clean coal technology' [sic] and geosequestration aka 'carbon capture & storage' are fallacies.
Both are prohibitively expensive and neither actually achieves the desired results.
Both fables are just coal industry filibuster trying to avoid the inevitable.

Considering CCC has preferenced Pauline Hanson and Family First much higher than the Greens, the reason for the existance of CCC is clear.
To steal votes from the Greens. I suspect CCC is a Liberal Party front, just like the Marajuana Party in 1980s NSW.

Now as to the clean coal fantasy, I put this together in reply to a clean coal fairytale spruiker at the Political Animal forums.

an entrenched "ploy" that must be clearly exposed

The Liberal Party and the National Party have an established ploy in their goal to be re-elected.

Over the last two Federal elections: "Pauline Hanson's One Nation" and "Family First". These two parties along with Fred Nile and other extreme right wing independents and smaller parties have used these "sneaky politics" to ensure that their own particular agenda's have been served through the Libs and Nats control. This time we see an emergence of "Climate Change Action Parties" who's real agenda is pro-nuclear. If you are going to vote pro-nuclear energy, then simply vote Liberal Party, it is clearly established on their agenda, why vote for a smaller party that is giving their preferences to them anyhow? How will this keep them honest? If anything it will ensure they remain completely corrupt!

It has worked for them in the past elections. I really hope the voters of Australia are aware of these "sneaky politics" this time around.

Beware Australia, don't let them fool you again.

Warm regards
Anne
